Since childhood, my love for writing has burned brightly within me. I invested my first savings in a laptop, driven by the sole purpose of giving life to my thoughts through words. Story after story, I witnessed the evolution of my storytelling skills and the refinement of my written English.

Admittedly, finding joy in scouring for grammar and spelling errors might sound unconventional to some. Yet, for me, it's a source of genuine delight. While labeling oneself as detail-oriented may seem cliché, I can assure you that, in my case, it's an apt description.

In a world where communication is paramount, I recognize the profound impact it can have. That's why I am dedicated to helping clients improve their sentence structures, ensuring their messages are not just communicated but truly understood, leading to meaningful accomplishments.

This commitment extends to my work with scripts. Holding a Master's degree in Comics and being a practicing comic book writer, I am eager to assist clients in elevating their projects in a more visually impactful manner.

I specialize in comic book editing. My experience spans several genres, including superheroes, fantasy, and science fiction. What I love most about editing scripts is that I get to help storytellers add depth and realism to their worlds, particularly to their characters. Many people struggle to find the unique voice for each character, and I believe this is where I excel as an editor. However, it goes beyond creating realistic, heartfelt dialogues. Characters are nothing without the driving force behind their actions: motivation. Through my developmental editing, I helped my clients identify their heroes and villains’ desires, weaving them into the heart of their plot to create an unforgettable story.

God of War Ragnarök Non-Spoiler Review for Screen Rant application

When God of War was released back in 2018, it took the gaming industry by storm. After dedicating itself for almost a decade to being a hack-and-slash, gruesome, bloodthirsty, god-murdering fest, the franchise decided to change direction.

We recommend watching the documentary Raising Kratos, available on YouTube, to get a full grasp of the journey this game went on before its soft reboot in 2018. However, it was much needed and ultimately has led to God of War becoming one of the jewels on Playstation’s crown. Play God of War before jumping into its critically acclaimed sequel, to get the most out of the experience (this review will contain spoilers for the first game).

THE PLOT

God of War Ragnarök does everything the first game did, but bigger, and mostly better. The game, once more, takes us on an emotional rollercoaster, narrating in the most exciting way possible the tale of a father and a son fighting against their nature to keep each other safe in a world of gods and monsters who wish them harm.

After killing Baldur and starting Ragnarök, Kratos and Atreus are on a daily struggle to keep a now dark, witch-like Freya at bay. After being visited by none other than Thor and Odin, Kratos rejects the All Father’s “irrefusable offer”, earning himself two formidable enemies.

This sets the Ghost of Sparta and teenage son on a new adventure across vibrant, fantastical realms to acquire the tools they need to defeat their opponents. In the end, Ragnarök comes to its climax in a satisfying, all-out war for the control or freedom of the realms.

Unlike its predecessor, God of War Ragnarök focuses on plot, rather than characters; although there’s still a huge focus on character-building and motivations. With all of the action ramped up to an 11, the scope of the world is much larger, allowing the players to visit even more realms and collect even more fascinating artefacts. The players will want to spend time in this world, and revisit areas later in their playthroughs, which will unlock after accessing new skills and allies. And that’s one of the best things about this game; it doesn’t feel like it’s Kratos and Atreus against the world anymore. With plenty of allies and things to do, players will find themselves constantly engaged and challenged to experiment new things.

In the free DLC released a few months ago by Santa Monica Studios, which adds to Kratos’ journey in Ragnarök, new fans are introduced to the original Greek lore whilst doing plenty of fan service for long-time fans of the series.

In a recent poll on X, God of war Ragnarök and God of War swept the competition. Ultimately, God of War and its sequel are going up against each other, and the odds seem evenly split; a true testament to these games. When the highest standard a game can uphold itself to is itself, that’s when it's evident that the creators have produced something that will last the test of time.

The future of the franchise is exciting, branching out into new mythologies and even an Amazon Prime adaptation that will bring mainstream audiences into this expanding universe. Get ahead of the game (pun intended), experience God of War Ragnarök for yourself and join millions of players on this heart-warming journey to godhood!

GHOST MACHINE #1 Review

Ghost Machine is a new comic book company, which has begun publishing through Image Comics. Some of the most notable names in the comic book industry have joined forces to bring their original characters to life in this exciting, new creative endeavor. Geoff Johns, Jason Fabok, Bryan Hitch, and Gary Frank are only some of the names that make this formidable ensemble. The company’s plan is to roll out a slew of titles over the coming months to introduce us to their universe spanning genres such as sci-fi, post-apocalyptic, historical fantasy, horror, and many more!

Ghost Machine #1 introduces us to GEIGER, ROOK: EXODUS, REDCOAT, Hornsby & HALO, ROCKETFELLERS, and HYDE STREET. Although brief, these introductions come with a bang and leave us smiling, or in silence - pondering the depth of what we just experienced. Trades for GEIGER and another incredible title, JUNKIARD JOE, are already available to read. It’s hard to express just how much excitement I feel about this. When Image happened back in the 90s, I wasn’t old enough to experience it real time, but I am here for this, and you should be too!

GEIGER vol. 1 Review

GEIGER vol. 1 is a post-apocalyptic title published by Image Comics and created by Geoff Johns and Gary Frank. The title, much like IRON MAN was to the MCU, launched the GHOST MACHINE company, albeit at the time still called MAD GHOST.

Compiling issues 1-6, GEIGER vol. 1 is the story of a man turned demon - or at least that’s how he wants his enemies to see him. After surviving a nuclear holocaust, Geiger finds himself alone in a world where only the vilest survive. It is in this world that he comes across two children that will remind him just how much life has yet to give.

The series deals with many themes, such as grief, hope, the consequences of humanity’s actions, and more. The pacing is well-devised, allowing the reader to take in the slow moments, and keep up with the gripping action.

Geoff Johns’ writing hits all the correct post-apocalypse tropes, while delivering a compelling and emotional punch to the gut. Gary Frank’s art is stunning, and gritty, connecting to us through heartfelt close-ups and eye-widening double page spreads.

I would rate this book 8/10, easily. What a wonderful start for this comic book universe. I can’t wait to see where the story goes, and I hope you will come along for the journey!

JUNKYARD JOE vol. 1 Review

JUNKYARD JOE vol. 1 is a powerful reminder of what comics can be used for. Written by Geoff Johns, drawn by Gary Frank, colored by Brad Anderson, and lettered by Rob Leigh, JUNKYARD JOE compiles issues 1-6 in what is quite possibly the most emotional comic I’ve ever read.

The title tells the story of a robot deployed by the U.S. government to aid their soldiers during WWI. Starting off as cold and detached as he was programmed to be, Joe forms a deep bond with his comrades, only to realize the true price of war, and disappearing as if he was never there in the first place. Years later, he returns and reunites with his old friend, Muddy Davies, only to catapult him and some new friends into a world of action and danger.

My eyes got watery more often than I care to admit… but that’s only a testament to Johns’ incredible writing sensibilities. Gary Frank, once again, delivers a beautifully rendered story that makes you stop and ponder the realness of what you just experienced.

I unapologetically rate this comic 9/10, for representing the horrors of war, as well as reminding us how much humanity can be found where we least expect it.
